Warm Home discount scheme.
Helping manage your winter bills.
At TruEnergy, we’re proud to support the Warm Home Discount scheme, a government initiative providing a £150 credit towards energy bills for those who need it most.
What is the Warm Home Discount (WHD)?
The Warm Home Discount helps qualifying customers in England, Wales, and Scotland to cover their winter energy costs. If eligible, you will receive a £150 rebate applied to your electricity bill by 31st March 2025.
1.
Core Group 1
You qualify if your energy supplier is part of the scheme and you or your partner were receiving Pension Credit Guarantee Credit on 11th August 2024.
2.
Core group 2
You qualify for the WHD if your supplier is part of the scheme, you or your partner were receiving a means-tested benefit and your home has been identified as high-cost to heat.
3.
For Scotland
There is a separate scheme for Scotland. Eligibility is determined through either Core Group or Broader Group criteria. Check your eligibility by completing out our quick form here.
How does WHD work?
If you don’t receive a letter but believe you qualify, you can visit gov.uk or call the helpline at 0800 030 9322 for further assistance.
Eligible customers will receive a letter explaining their eligibility for the Warm Home Discount. If the letter advises you to confirm eligibility, you must contact the helpline by the date specified. Once confirmed, your supplier will apply the £150 rebate directly to your electricity account.
