Fuel Payments, Seamlessly Managed.
Fuel Direct.
If you’re having difficulty managing your energy bills and are eligible for certain benefits, there’s an option to have payments taken directly from your benefits with a system called Fuel Direct.
If you are eligible, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) can arrange for a fixed amount to be deducted from your benefit payments each month and paid directly to Truenergy. This monthly deduction will go towards settling your outstanding energy debt as well as covering your ongoing energy usage.
However, it’s important to consider that this scheme should only be used as a last resort when no other options are available to clear your energy debt. Exploring alternative solutions first may help you manage your payments more effectively.
It’s a good idea to reach out to us first so we can go over all the payment options available to you. If we determine that Fuel Direct is the right choice, we’ll provide you with the necessary information. After that, you’ll need to apply directly to the Department for Work and Pensions to set up deductions from your benefits.
